Interview for Decisional Abilities (IDA)

The Interview for Decisional Abilities (IDA) is an interview tool used by Adult Protective Services (APS) and Area Agency on Aging (AAA) professionals to learn more about their client's decision-making abilities. AAA workers across Pennsylvania are  being trained to use the IDA as a part of the client interview to better understand how a client thinks about the risks they are facing and determine if a capacity referral might be necessary.
