The Program for the Study and Support of Caregivers is a pioneering initiative at Weill Cornell Medicine, with a combined mission to research, support, and educate caregivers and the physicians who care for them and their loved ones. The program is generously supported by the Hearst Foundation.

Integrated Structure
The program unites renowned Cornell researchers, clinicians, and educators to address the caregiving crisis through a unified approach.

Research Leadership
The program's research team is led by Dr. Sara Czaja, an internationally recognized expert in the use of technology to support caregivers, and Dr. Catherine Riffin, an expert on the interactions between clinicians and family caregivers.

Educational Initiatives
Clinical and educational programming, led by Dr. Ronald Adelman, are directed at caregivers as well as medical learners, including medical students and resident physicians.

Paid Caregivers Division
Directed by Dr. Madeline Sterling, this division aims to improve the conditions and compensation of home health aides, enabling more patients to age in place.
