Sonal Subhash Mehta, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center and at New York University Medical Center. In 2008, Dr. Mehta joined the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine after completing her fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. She was the Associate Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program from 2014-2023. Currently, Dr. Mehta is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, Program Director for the Integrated Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine fellowship and serves as the Director of the Inpatient Palliative Care Consultation Service at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. Her educational and research interests focus on managing symptoms related to chronic diseases and caring for older adults with chronic conditions.
