Center on Aging and Behavioral Research

The Center on Aging and Behavioral Research is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults and their families. Led by Professor of Gerontology, Dr. Sara J. Czaja, the Center has a commitment to addressing current and emerging challenges of aging through research, education, and services to our community. Dr. Czaja and her team are developing and testing innovative strategies and interventions that strive to keep older adults independent and engaged socially, intellectually, and professionally.

An integral part of the Center on Aging and Behavioral Research is the Center for Research and Education for Aging and Technology Enhancement (CREATE). Founded in 1999 and funded by the National Institute on Aging through the National Institutes of Health, CREATE is a multidisciplinary and collaborative center dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of technology can be realized by older adults to support and enhance independence, productivity, health, social connectedness, and quality of life.
