Baker Louvre: A Night of Artistic Expression
Calling all Artists and Open Hearts!
We would like to invite you to our fifth installation of The Baker Louvre: A Night of Artistic Expression!
Our goal for this event is not to elevate expertise, but rather to invite you to share what moves you, even if you are an art enthusiast and just want to share a piece you love. There is no level, no bar to set or reach, no judgment. We want to use this time to build community, help reduce the requirements that lead to burnout, and give us all a chance to palliate each other by creating a safe space to be vulnerable. This is sponsored by the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine, but not Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine exclusive - the more the merrier!
We will be transforming our Center on Aging into a swanky art gallery, equipped with a viewing hall for visual art and an Open Mic!
We would like to invite you to contribute! Our theme for this event is “Birds of a Feather”. Submissions include (but are not limited to) painting, drawing, music, sculpting, and writing/spoken word. These can be centered around transitions in your life, or your surroundings if you want to use the theme, but you DO NOT have to adhere to the theme to submit. If you have a piece that you want to share, we would love to experience it. Also, please let us know if you would be ok with your work later being published on our website/future publications!
When: May 28, 2026, 5:30-8PM
Where: WCMC Center on Aging (P elevator to 2nd floor)
Sign up here: https://forms.gle/bknQrHvnrWc1rFTV7

*Please include what your piece is, if it has a name, dimensions, how you would like it displayed (hang/mount/stand) and if you would like it published on our website later. We will send instructions for drop-off and return of your work*
Please don't be shy! We plan to fill our Center on Aging with your spectacular art, love, and appreciation for everything that makes you who you are! There is space for your medical genius and the beauty your mind also creates.
Come out! We need and want you!
Warmly,
The Baker Louvre Planning Committee
